Meet Our Leadership Team
Dean Kapsalis, Managing Partner
Dean Kapsalis is currently Managing Partner for Fuel Merchandise Group, a subsidiary of TDK Capital Partners. He is the visionary behind the company stating, “Fuel Merchandise Group was formed with the belief people are motivated to work for a greater purpose and when connected, the limits of advancing the causes they believe become endless.”
Dean spent the first 16 years of his career as an entrepreneur in the branded merchandise space, leading the company through a successful acquisition. From there, Dean held various leadership roles in corporate America. As a result, he had the privilege to be mentored by brilliant business men and women who inspired him to expand his vision and follow his passion. In 2015, he was sidelined for a year with a health issue and while recovering came across the following quote that resonated with him, “Pursue your dreams or someone else will hire you to pursue theirs”. Although getting back into entrepreneurship had always been in the back of his mind, it was at that moment he began to execute the vision for Fuel Merchandise Group.
“At Fuel we approach things a little differently. While some companies focus on products, we are more interested in working with our customers in putting together programs to help them achieve their goals. In some cases, the products are incidental.”
On a personal note, Dean’s tenacity is a byproduct of his athletic career. As a four time varsity letter recipient of Indiana University’s Men’s Soccer Program, so much of what he learned from that experience is applied to his everyday business life. He is driven by the ability to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives and the opportunity to create a better future for his family.
